The Spill Way of Your Lifestyle
Rivers flow, this creek is called Bull Creek.
I lived in an old barn that had been refurbished into a 2 bedroom shack. It wasn’t much. It had an open floor plan and a septic tank, dial-up internet, and no cable nor tv reception.
I absolutely loved it. You had to cross a spillway to access the old barn and if you know anything about Austin weather you know that there are several floods a year. Bull Creek is notorious for flooding. If there is a major rain you are stuck on either side of the creek, sometimes for days.
There were cattle on the land, there were natural springs when the rains were plenty. It was a small paradise for a young hippie - punk - cowboy from a small-town Texas.
I tell you of this place because I found a Texas ranch 2sranch this past week and they are located in a special part of Texas. It is located in Palo Pinto County Texas. There is a creek system there and it flows into the Brazos River. A fantastic river in the Texas river system.
Throughout history, many people had to cross many spillways to source and obtain their beef.
Today we are going to take a closer look at Texas History and how beef created the Republic in which I love dearly and I am letting you discover in ways you might not think of.
Our lifestyles have changed and are being engineered in a different direction. I choose to engineer my own lifestyle and I always have.
Please come along for the ride. We will take many a dirt road and will cross many a spillway but to travel upriver is the only way we find places unknown.
A Texas Trail Made by Beef
In the late 16th century Spanish explorers met with the Lipan Apache who inhabited what is today the Palo Pinto County area. They introduced guns and horses to the Apache. In the late 17th century, French traders made their way from Louisiana into North Texas along the Red River; they were followed by American traders not too long after that. At about the same time, Comanches were moving into the territory from the west and Wichita from the north. By the early 19th century Native Americans from East Texas had been forced into this area by the advancing frontier. These Indians along with immigrant tribes like the Delaware, Shawnee, and Choctaw were removed to the Brazos Indian Reservation in 1854. More white settlers were moving into the area and mutual animosity escalated during the mid-1800s. This was heightened during the Civil War when the men left their farms unprotected to join the Confederate army. The few remaining settlers moved to forts and towns for safety. The Indian raids ended in 1874 when the Native Americans were beaten into submission.
After the Civil War and during the Reconstruction, times were hard for Texans, the economy was limping and Confederate money was worthless. During this time cattle roamed on the open range free for the taking. At this time they sold in Texas for two to three dollars a head. Charles Goodnight, Oliver Loving, and several others rounded up 2,000 cattle and drove them to Colorado where they sold them for twenty to thirty dollars apiece. (story the foundation for Lonesome Dove the cowboy epic) This was a shot in the arm for the Texan economy. By 1869 the Transcontinental Railroad was completed and herdsmen drove cattle to Kansas to be transported to the northern states. These drives not only brought millions of dollars to Texas but also served as viable markets without laws and shipping monopolies blocking the way. The railroad boom continued and the Texas and Pacific Railway had reached Fort Worth by 1878 and Weatherford by 1880.
The largest town in Palo Pinto County was born out of sheer serendipity. As luck would have it, James Lynch and his family arrived in east Palo Pinto County from Denison. He dug a well in 1880 and found water with a strange taste. Before long it was found to have healing properties and as word spread about the Crazy Water, people flocked to the Lynch land. It was proclaimed the town of Mineral Wells and Mr. Lynch became its first mayor. Mineral Wells grew into a spa town and visitors from all over the nation came to sample its waters.

To accommodate the growing number of visitors a short railroad from Weatherford to Mineral Wells was built. In the early 1900s the town's population was 8,000 and every year it swelled to over 150,000 when the health seekers flocked to take the waters. Many hotels sprouted all over town to supply much-needed accommodations. The Crazy Water Hotel and The Baker Hotel are the two most famous buildings from that era. Water and mainly crystals were shipped all over the world. The mineral water craze began to decline in the 1930s due to the Great Depression. People had less money and couldn't afford resort vacations, also the crystals were available throughout the country so the benefits were on hand. Then the FDA began to control medical advertising and place restrictions on the claims that crystal manufacturers could make, and that put an end to the crystal market.

I wanted to introduce this area of Texas to you for several reasons. To highlight Charles Goodnight and Oliver Loving and their influence of establishing cattle in Texas and because of the 2S Ranch.
I will be writing more about the cattle drives of the past and next week I will be telling a story about a particular area of Texas where I come from. The Texas Panhandle, Llano Estacado, THE Caprock of the state.
I will also be introducing a local champion of the beef industry. His name is Justin Trammell and he owns and operates Tir Bluen. He is pioneering the independent cattle rancher, producer, processing and supplier movement currently taking place. Until then, let’s focus back on Palo Pinto County and the 2S Ranch.
The 2S Ranch
The 2S ranch is in the Cross Timbers region in the beautiful Palo Pinto County. Nestled in the Palo Pinto Mountains, the ranch is about 50 miles west of the Dallas- Fort Worth Metroplex. The ranch overflows with a rich history that can be seen through small fossils and Native American artifacts, as well as diverse written history. White-tailed deer and turkeys as well as other wildlife can be spotted throughout the rolling hills and seasonal creeks. The entrance to the ranch is located on Texas’ first designated scenic highway, Farm to Market Road 4 (FM 4). This highway snakes through some of the prettiest country in north Texas and is the perfect address to the beautiful ranch of the 2S.
The 2S Ranch has been owned and operated by the Simmons family since 2003. The purchase of the land in 2003 was a lifelong dream of ours. Along with that dream came strong commitments to good stewardship of the land and the humane treatment of our animals. These two commitments are our starting point that will allow our family to provide food products that are safe and healthy to your family. We named the ranch The Double S Ranch and our ranch brand is the “2S.” The 2S stands for two families, Simmons and Sculley (Martye’s maiden name). This brand identifies our cattle and our products.
About The Beef
At the family-owned and operated 2S Ranch they are strongly committed to good stewardship of the land and the humane treatment of their animals. We produce 100% grass-fed beef. Our Angus and Hereford bulls and cross-bred heifers eat grass in open pastures daily and they are never given any hormones, corn, grains, or steroids. They even bale their own hay so that they know that the hay they are giving to our cows is truly organic and without pesticides.
Their grass-fed beef is USDA inspected and they are also "Beef Quality Assurance" certified.
Once the beef is processed it is aged for at least 10-14 days to ensure that it is tender and flavorful. All of their beef cuts are double wrapped and vacuum-sealed before they are hard frozen.

I have spoken with Bart on the phone and I plan to visit the ranch soon. This particular series is going to have two parts to it. Today and then after I go out and meet Bart and his family I will follow up with some more useful facts about the ranch and the surrounding area. There are some interesting things going on in Mineral-Wells and it is going to be a great new destination spot for those wanting to hit the back roads of Texas. It is time to get off the Interstate and to create that new lifestyle that all of us are going to engineer together.

Engineering Your Own Suffering

You have heard me discuss how it’s time to quit being a bunch of rent-seeking cucks and how all of us, including me, need to look in the mirror and start bringing some integrity into our lives and to start creating a new lifestyle that is based on virtue, honesty, integrity, a sense of honesty that creates a form of sovereignty for each and every one of us.
Engineering your own suffering is a way to take the power away from those that are engineering your suffering for you in ways that most people do not see, understand, or quite frankly won’t admit to.
I am the best damn engineer I know. I am one hell of a fighter and I am one hell of a defender.
I had coffee with a very close friend this morning. He is an artist and a very accomplished man. He speaks with an eloquence that I learn from and to be honest, he lends to my writing and my personal truth.
Our discussion this morning was about knowing what your mission statement is in life. What we discussed was basically what is our value system. What do you truly value as a man and for your ladies out there what do you truly value as a woman?
Through our conversations, we have both been able to identify and clarify that both of us value imagination and truth. Is “imagination” a value?
You damn right it is! If not for imagination none of us would be unique in our own right. We would be boring ass cucks that all think alike and would never grow or evolve in any productive or creative manner.
My imagination leads my writing. I have to bring storytelling into my intelligence and lifestyle reports. My imagination is first of foremost led by truth.
I have no issue or hesitation in telling the truth as it is. Our world has been hijacked in many ways. I am calling out the rest of the world and to anyone reading my articles and especially to anyone in the Bitcoin space. Truth is going to win and I am going to defend the truth in a way I have never seen done before. I am going to use a decentralized intelligence gathering and broadcasting technique that is foreign to rent-seeking liars and deceivers.
This is going to require all the imagination I have and I promise you, I have one hell of an imagination.
To travel down a dirt road
If you have never traveled down a Texas dirt road you have never traveled down a dirt road. I’m pretty sure I could leave my home, be on a dirt road in less than 10 minutes and travel to Austin, Texas 500 miles away and never get off the dirt if I tried to. To discover the land in which you live through the backroads, and in my case, a lot of dirt roads is to see a form of history and heritage of days gone by. We all need to look a few degrees to the north, south, east, or west and re-calibrate our compass. I am going to be steering towards the days gone by that hold hidden treasures. The interstate form of a living will not be a part of my Modus Operandi - MO. The people, places, and things I will experience are going to be a fascinating journey. I am honored to bring you along.
There is a sense of freedom that lies below the surface of the dirt. It is the source of the seed to many things that are hidden in our lives. Below the surface is the purity that we all are yearning for and now will be defending with our lives. The only way I see that we can get to the purity of truth is through our personal imagination and then through a party line of sharing and giving.
From my first understanding of Bitcoin, I began to lose the desires of the past. The desires that were built on lies, deceptions, and corruption that has led us to where we are now. It led me to go on a truth-seeking mission about our food supply. I created the hashtag #FoodIntelligence because we are all going to have to bring some deeper intelligence into our food sourcing. We can not rely on the FDA nor the USDA anymore. They are corrupt and they perpetuate a form of slow death in our nation. I have the receipts, we have the reports and the statistics. We know the cause and we know how they have been able to hide behind a curtain of marketing plans, bogus laws, industry corruption, and fiat money spending that knows no end. As they continue down the interstate I will be traveling down a Texas dirt road establishing a new industry that is the BEEF INITIATIVE. #BeefInitiative. I am the Modern Texas Man.
The Lone Star State is number one in beef cattle production in the United States, and Texas is home to 248,800 farms and ranches totaling 130.2 million acres. Cattle ranching is not only part of the Texas economy, it is the culture, heritage, and tradition that created our great Republic.
Do you think that a quarter of a million farms and ranches are going to allow national and global corruption to destroy the purity of our existence? I am the first to admit that there are farms and ranches that have been captured by the government and by the global one world food group and #MPAC.
We are about to go through a major transformation in our food supply and how we raise, farm, produce, process and supply our nutrition.
I have ever intention to keep you educated and help you design a new lifestyle around #FoodIntelligence and around the #BeefInitiative.
We are going to lose some battles and we are going to have some frustrating times, mandates, laws and confusing signals.
Not every rancher likes me, most of them will find out in the end they needed me and this idea. I have a low time preference way of living that gives me a high value lifestyle. I have patience and I have grit. I was taught to have integrity, to be impeccable with your word and lead with truth and honesty.
This is how we will win!
